Public Invited to Downtown Monroe Virtual Tour Luncheon

MONROE -- The public is invited to a luncheon featuring downtown virtual tour of Monroe.
The virtual tour will be held on Monday, March 18, from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm. The luncheon will be held at the Warehouse No. 1 Restaurant in downtown Monroe.
Larry Foreman of the Ouachita Parish Library will talk about the history of the Downtown Monroe area.
If you are interested in attending you must make reservations and a $15 payment by 12 noon Friday March 13. The $15 payment is for your lunch. For more information on the luncheon or a reservation form contact Myra Gatling-Akers at 329-4947 or myra.gatling@ci.monroe.la.us
The virtual tour will include a site of Fort Miro, Ouachita High School, Garrett's Law Office, the Ouachita Parish Courthouse, Hotel Monroe, Hotel Francis, St. Matthews Church, First Baptist Church, Merchants and Farmers Bank, Ouachita National Bank, The Palace, Virginia Hotel, DAR Chapter House, Castle Hall, Miller Roy Building and many others.
This event is Sponsored by the Downtown Economic Development District, Downtown Monroe Alliance, and the Ouachita Parish Library.
