A reception was held at the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce to show appreciation for Congressman Ross' hard work for Arkansas' Fourth Congressional District.
Ross left his congressional seat this year and is now working for a non-profit organization called Southwest Power Pool that manages the electric grid for 9 states based out of Little Rock.
Ross tells NBC 10 News what it was like to spend time on Capitol Hill serving Arkansans
"It's been the best part of the job being an advocate for the people back home in Arkansas. That's why I never moved to Washington after the vote each week. I was always on the very first flight back to Arkansas."
At one point Ross considered running for governor of Arkansas, but decided not to, but says he's not ruling out another chance to serve in politics.
