NEW ORLEANS, LA (WDSU) -- Billions are at stake in a trial set to begin Monday in New Orleans to determine BP's civil liability.
The case is already being called one of the biggest and most complex of its kind.

The trial will try to identify the causes of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon blast. The explosion killed 11 workers and led to millions of barrels of oil spewing into the gulf.
BP already agreed to a $4.5 billion settlement of federal criminal charges.
