LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe called the decision by the state's
Lieutenant Governor to sign a bill while he was out of state "totally
inappropriate."
Beebe told reporters on Tuesday he thought he had a good working relationship with Mark Darr until Darr signed a bill on Friday.
"It just shows you can turn your back," Beebe says.
SB131, now Act145, makes information about concealed carry permit holders private; and Beebe told reporters last week he would not veto the bill and allow it to take effect Monday.
Darr signed the bill Friday, saying it "deserved a signature."
