NEW ORLEANS -- The final pieces of the 2013 ULM schedule have been finalized as the Sun Belt Conference released the 2013 conference slate Friday morning.
ULM will have three home games during the conference season and it will begin with a nationally-televised home contest against Western Kentucky. The Thursday night, Oct. 3 contest between the Warhawks and the Hilltoppers will air on ESPNU.
"I think based on the results of the 2012 season its not a surprise that we received two guaranteed television games during the conference season," said head coach Todd Berry. "Last season's televised contests were of tremendous value for both our program and the university as a whole. It aided in national exposure for our club as well as aided in recruiting. It will again benefit us as we wrap up our non-conference season and immediately step into conference play with a nationally-televised game on a Thursday night."
The Warhawks will then hit the road for an Oct. 12 battle at Sun Belt newcomer Texas State. ULM's next contest will be against another new conference member as it welcomes Georgia State to Malone Stadium on Oct. 26.
The squad will close out October with its second nationally-televised game of the month on Halloween night. ULM will travel to Troy, Ala., for a battle at Troy which will air on ESPNU.
The Warhawks' final home game of the season will take place on Nov. 9 when Arkansas State travels to Monroe. Following ULM's second bye week of the season, the squad will close out the regular season with contests at South Alabama (Nov. 23) and UL-Lafayette (Nov. 30).
ULM will kickoff the 2013 season with a trip to Norman, Okla., as they battle the Oklahoma Sooners on Aug. 31.
