St. Patty's Bicycle and Tricycle Parade

MONROE -- Bring your friends and family to the first annual St. Patty's Day Bicycle and Tricycle Parade at Forsythe Park on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 4 p.m.
The community event sponsored by the Love Your Community initiative and FitRight Racing's Shamrock Shuffle, a 5K/8K race.

Parade members are encouraged to decorate their bikes, trikes, wagons and scooters for a ride along Sycamore Street through Forsythe Park. Parade line-up is at 4 PM. It will begin at 4:15 PM and will be followed by the FitRight Racing Shamrock Shuffle 5K/8K road race at 5 PM.
The event will include free activities such as face painting, temporary tattoos, and green lemonade. The first 50 kids to register for the parade will receive a free t-shirt.

The St. Patty's Bicycle and Tricycle Parade is the first in a series of annual events sponsored FitRight Active and Love Your Community, an organization formed to promote community pride in Ouachita Parish. Registration for the parade will be held on site. Runners participating in the 5K/8K race can pre-register at fitrightracing.com/shamrock-shuffle. This event is open to the public.
