Monroe Police Investigate Armed Robbery

MONROE -- On Monday around 10 p.m., Monroe Police say officers responded to a reported robbery that occurred in the 3900 block of Westminster Avenue.
Police say initial investigation revealed that a subject was entering his vehicle when another subject approached him with a handgun and demanded money.
The victim was forced to drive a short distance by the suspect at which time the suspect fled the area on foot after taking cash from the victim. The victim was not hurt.
The suspect is described as black male subject wearing all black clothing and was last seen in the area of 3000 Evangeline Street.
Detectives continue to investigate this incident.
