Jailed Suspect Facing New Charges

A suspect already jailed on a vehicle burglary charge is now facing several more charges.
Monroe Police arrested Larry Brown on five additional burglary warrants and one stolen vehicle warrant.
Brown had initially been arrested on 03-02-13 for vehicle burglary and was already being held at at OCC.
Detectives conducted follow up investigations which included interviewing tipsters and executing a search warrant at a residence which led to the recovery of stolen items and other evidence, such as clothing, that implicated Brown in the above offenses. The burglary warrants stemmed from offenses at local car dealerships.
Detectives have also forwarded six additional burglary cases to the District Attorney's office where Brown is a suspect and charges are pending.
The cases charging Brown with burglary all occurred in the Eastern patrol zones of Monroe.
