Monroe Officials Set to Review Animal Welfare Officer Applicants

MONROE -- Sergeant Mark Johnson of the Monroe Police Department says the search committee will begin the reviewing process of all qualified candidates on Thursday for the animal welfare officer vacancy.
The candidates will go before a panel made up of people from the Monroe Police Department, as well as the community, for a day long interview process.
Hack Tull of the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter says he and his staff are working with the Monroe Police Department but he looks forward to having the vacancy filled.
Currently, the Ouachita Parish Animal Control Officers are handling all animal calls in Monroe.
