Police: Toddler Struck By Car in Monroe, Minor Injuries

MONROE -- Monroe police say a toddler was struck by a vehicle on accident on Friday.
Monroe police say officers responded to a juvenile pedestrian vehicle accident that occurred at 51 Roy Drive.
Investigation revealed that a 3-year old child ran into the street from behind a dumpster into the path of an oncoming vehicle and was struck.
The child was transported by AMR to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
The investigation showed that the accident was unavoidable on the part of the driver and no citations were issued.
