School Bus Accident Leaves One Seriously Injured in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT (KTAL) -- A school bus driver is in the hospital after an early morning accident in South Shreveport.
The wreck happened shortly after 7 a.m. near Caddo Middle Magnet in the 7600 block of Cornelious Lane.
Authorities believe the bus driver may have hit a steel gate while dropping students off in front of the school.
The bus driver is undergoing surgery on his leg at LSU Health Center.
Several students who were on the bus at the time of the accident also suffered minor injuries.
