MONROE, LA, March 20, 2013 - R-Squared Productions announced the release of their latest short film, America, on Wednesday.  Filmed over a two-day period earlier this year, America, was produced by a mostly volunteer crew.  The film, just over 12 minutes in length, is available for viewing on the company's website - R2Films.com.  The film can also be found on YouTube.com.

Traveling from a tri-state area, R-Squared Productions proudly  worked with a talented and diverse group of individuals.  Volunteering on the project were:   Keith Rushing, Meghan Woods, Kip Cummings, Josh Fuller, Clint Hanna, Clayton Maza, Bailey Granade, Garrett Hudson, Amber Flores, Kim Brady, Lanetra Lewis, Shalyian Jenkins, Josh Jones, Sean O'Bryan Smith, and Mary Beth & Dr. Herschel Harter.

As the premiere film production company in Northeast Louisiana, R-Squared Productions is committed to the development of the arts through making Life-Changing Films.  "Allowing volunteers and interns to be a part of our movie sets is rewarding for everyone involved," said Rodney Ray, owner of R-Squared Productions.  "People of all ages and job skills have helped us make movie magic.  It truly takes a village to make a movie," Ray continued.  Several interns have moved onto paying positions with R-Squared Productions and other movie companies.  Similar to how the volunteer crew donated their time, skills, and energy to make this project possible, R-Squared would also like to make a donation.  The company announced Wednesday that America is available for use by anyone, anywhere, free of charge.  It is R-Squared Productions' hope that America will speak to the local community and open a discussion about the way that we all view and interact with those homeless neighbors who live among us.
