The atrocities in Mumbai, India Wednesday were so great, some say it was Indias 9-11. The terrorists attacked three locations in Mumbai, wounding more than 300 and killing over 150 people. Five American lives were taken, but the majority of the deaths were Indian. We sat down with two students, brother and sister, whose family lives in India and was in Mumbai when the city was under attack. Chandni and Ankit Patel followed the news everyday hoping their family was safe. They remembered there initial thoughts when then heard of the attacks. Ankit said, "I was thinking, how many casualties there were and how many people got hurt and if my family was alright, that was the main concern because they were in Mumbai at the time" His sister Chandni said, "The first thing that came to my mind was my aunt, I started shaking a bit and I called my mom and she didnt know and she was afraid too." The Patels say waiting to hear that their family was safe was the hardest part, but the news didnt provide complete solace. There were still lingering questions. Chandani said, "First thing I want to know is why did they do it. Who, you know, why, just why would you disturb and take lives of so many people. Many people around the world ask the same question as Chandani, the answer is one we still wait for.
