Glenwood Regional Medical Center Awarded for Excellence

Three out of the past four years, Glenwood Regional Medical Center has ranked among the nation's top 5% of hospitals. 2009 is no different.    

Today, the hospital was awarded The Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence. This means Glenwood Regional Medical Center is one of the top hospitals in the country with the lowest death and complication rates. 

According to a national study, patients who are admitted to a hospital with this award are, on average, 27% less likely to die.

In addition to this award, Glenwood Regional Medical Center has received a 5-star rating for their cardiac and coronary bypass surgeries for the past four years.
