Howard- Moore Fitness Plus was a fitness club offering all amenities: an outdoor pool, a ladies only weight room and even childcare. The club was constantly bustling with people trying to maintain a healthy life style. But, without notice it closed and now some of folks are very angry.

Mike Ward, is one of those upset members, he only enjoyed 5 days of his membership before the club closed. He said, he showed up at the gym on March 24th to work out and to his surprise the gym was dark and a sign hung in the door. The sign said the club had closed overnight and would not reopen due to economic reasons. Ward said he wasn’t as upset about the club closing as he was that there was no notification or reimbursement for his loss. Many are in the same boat as Ward. A second member we spoke with said she lost over $300 because she paid her year's membership in full when she enrolled, in December.

As for the getting your money back, all attempts to contact the owners of the gym have gone un-answered. Members we spoke with are hoping to pull together to get answers. They’re encouraging all of those that were affected to call the Better Business Bureau or contact the Attorney General. You can talk with the Attorney General’s office by calling their Consumer Protection Hotline at 800-351-4889 or filing a complaint on their website. Their website is: www.agbuddycaldwell.com and click on “consumer complaints.”
