A Bastrop man has been sentenced to death for killing his wife and mother in law. Roy Lee Odenbaugh will now head to Angola where he will eventually die by lethal injection. The sentence comes almost 3 years after the brutal murders. A wave of relief came today for the victim's family. Roy Odenbaugh will now die for gunning down his wife Sandra and mother in law Jessie May Porter. Cameras aren't allowed in the courtroom, but Odenbaugh didn't show any reaction when the judge gave the sentence. But family members of the victims had tears in their eyes when they heard the ruling: "Words can't describe it justice has been done that's all I want to say justice has been done," said Juanita Brannon the victim's sister and daughter.
Odenbaugh was also sentenced to 50 years for the attempted murder of his pregnant step daughter. But obviously if he's executed, he'll never serve that part of the sentence. Prosecutors say Odenbaugh will be moved to Angola sometime next week.
