Parents confronted the owner Gloria Jones of this day care just last month. They heard their children were being mistreated and they wanted answers.

Gloria Jones said, "August 4, two parents came to my office and said Tera Hunt got word to them that their child was being mistreated at the center. This was the first indication that I heard of any kind of mistreatment."

Jones say she brought in one of the employees she trusted the most and asked her about the allegations in front of the parents. Jones says the employee denied seeing anything.

Jones said, "I hired a new employee Lee Ann Mc Murry and several weeks later she witnessed something that one of the staff members was doing to the children and she came to me."

That employee was Shervondalyn Tillman of Monroe. Jones says she confronted Tillman and she admitted she heated up water in a bottle, put it in kids' mouths, and even squired it in their faces. An arrest report says Tillman also locked kids in the bathroom, turned off the lights, slammed on the door and yelled monster. Tillman was arrested and charged with cruelty to a juvenile.

Jones said, "Then I went to questioning other employees to find out what they knew and how long they knew it and many did know for a long time." Jones says 5 employees knew about the abuse so she fired those five employees.
