Mainstreet Director Mark Givens said, "Its here, beautiful weather. Blues Traveler is set up and done sound check, Patrice Pike will be loading in any minute. Lots of excitement, think we’re going to have a good crowd tonight."
Musicfest volunteers started working early this morning to put on the finishing touches.
Not long after, the food venders rolled in to Main Street and filled the air with delicious smelling funnel cakes. Arts and crafts venders also set up their booths.
Tabitha Dison is one of those venders, "This is our first year-we want to see how it goes hopefully continue to come out each year. We hand make bows, bow holders and tutus-everything we have is for girls to make you girly!"
In a few short hours Patrice Price and Blue Traveler will take to this stage and start the 22nd annual Musicfest!
NBC 10 asked Givens if he met Blues Traveler, " I have! Very nice guys, The brothers are out playing golf right now here in El Dorado, a couple of the other guys are at the gym right now. They got here early this morning so they are having a relaxing afternoon here in El Dorado, which is cool."
Now all that left--- is the people! Festival organizers are expecting crowds of more than 20 thousand people.
Musicfest Volunteer Sheri Terry said, "Its great, the weather is going to be great for us-everyones excited, weve got all of our volunteers signed up, got the kids world in, we got the bands arriving, venders are here, crafters are here, so now all we need are the people!"
