A West Monroe family lost their dog over 3 months ago..but now they're celebrating her return. The 12-year old Dotson went missing at the family's camp near Lake D'Arbonne in July.

When heavy rain and flooding hit the Ark-La-Miss, the dog's owners say they lost all hope and assumed their beloved dog was dead.

Missy Bratton said, "I can't imagine someone losing their child and not ever knowing what happened, but to us, that's kind of like what it was, cause we didn't know what happened to Tootsie. Just finding her is a miracle, its just a miracle."

A family friend in Union Parish says she found a very skinny Tootsie standing in the middle of Sam Rodgers road on Wednesday. Tootsie's owner Missy Bratton says the family is grateful to have their dog home. Bratton says she wants to thank anyone who may have helped their dog survive.
