People lined the streets of south Monroe Saturday.. watching the aftermath of a drive-by shooting unfold.
While investigators scoured the scene for clues, six men were loaded onto stretchers and taken to the hospital.
A 14-year-old girl who asked not to be identified says she was on her friends porch when she heard gun fire.
The witness said, "Some boy had a bunch of bullets in their head and we gave them towels. They were bleeding and screaming and crying."
Police say the victims were hanging out at a grocery store on Orange street in Monroe when an unidentified car drove by and opened fire. By nightfall police and bystanders were gone but the witness says thoughts of the bloody scene stayed with her.
The witness said, "If they could do it in the daylight they would do it tonight tomorrow any day."
The eighth grader says the shooting has scared her family so much they want to move.
The witness said, "It could have been us if we were walking into the store or my little brother."
