Walmart Accident Victim Laid to Rest

Chris Partin is saying goodbye to her mother two days before Thanksgiving...and trying to figure out exactly what caused her death.
What started as a typical trip to Walmart ended in the death of 86-year-old Margie Davis.
Chris Partin said, "I just need to know how my mama died. That's the big question now."
Partin says she received a call Friday that a display shelf of holiday towels had fallen on top of her mother at Walmart in West Monroe.
Partin said, "They immediately had to take her to surgery for the swelling of her brain and then, she never regained consciousness."
Twenty-four hours later, Partin says her spry and vivacious mother was dead.
Partin said, "She came in the door healthy and she came out brain dead. And that's pretty traumatic for you cause you know, you don't expect it."
What Partin did expect was answers from the Walmart where the accident happened.
Partin said, "I came to Walmart to talk to the manager and I said can you show me a video. I know you have cameras all over the store."
But Partin says the manager told her no and turned her over to corporate headquarters. Partin says Walmart representatives have been in contact with the family, but they have not explained exactly what happened Friday that led to her mothers death.
Partin said, "I don't know how we're going to find that out, but time will tell I guess."
