Chocolate, stuffed animals, gift baskets galore, balloons, flowers and of course you can’t forget love--- all the makings of Valentine ’s Day. Behind all the pretty gifts there are people working long hours to deliver bouquets upon bouquets. Wendy Hall owns Morgan Florist, “We start planning in December.” Planning arrangements and how many flowers to order—then Wendy has to line up plenty of extra people to actually deliver her creative creations. “I have like, I don’t even know how many like 17. All this week I had like 7 and today I have 8 extra.” Wendy and her employees stayed up late last night putting together arrangements. That way when people call wanting flowers all they have to do is stick on a tag, put it in the van and send it out for delivery. Charles McClelland is helping deliver flowers today; he’s one of 8 drivers. McClelland said, “Oh wow, neighborhood of 25, started early this morning around 7:30, been busy nonstop.” Hall said, “They want it at work, all the girls want it at work and its real fun.” It’s not just roses all the girls are wanting; Wendy says she sells all sorts of flowers. “Exotic arrangements, orchids, fiddle head fern curls, gerber daisies.” The shop says they’ll be busy until closing time Saturday night. McClelland said, “Depends on when husbands remember its valentines, it can pick up, I’m looking at maybe 30-35 this afternoon.”
