V-Vehicle could be closer to revving its engine in Monroe. Congressman Rodney Alexander tells NBC 10 News the auto maker has re-submitted its multi-million dollar loan application. The $320 million loan from the Department of Energy is critical for V-Vehicle to use as start up cash. The current loan is the same one the U.S. Department of Energy rejected in March. Congressman Alexander says he's confident V-Vehicle has satisfied all it's previous concerns with the DOE. V-Vehicle officials could not be reached today. While DOE hasn't given any details on a time line for V-Vehicle's application, the congressman says he's optimistic the loan process will be smoother this time around.
