Friday Larry Woods, with the help of the Department of Human Services- Division of the Blind, opened his own studio to not only record... But to expand on his teaching.

Larry started to lose his vision at the young age of 9 years old--- ever since -- he's devoted his life to his love of music.

Today, dozens of friends and family showed up for the grand opening.

Right now he's only got about 15 students because he hasn't had the space to teach, but now with the new facility he's hoping to teach at least 50 kids.

Larry says the studio is a dream come true, "Words can't express how wonderful I feel for these people to show up that type of support for me and to know they are supporting me and even though I am visually impaired person they still feel I am capable.

DHS funded the studio, complete with three new pianos and a wheelchair ramp so Larry can teach any kid that wants to learn
