Elaine Jones testified that her husband was friendly with anyone he met. She said she last saw him at their house the night Jones was killed but she didn't know Jones left because she was asleep. Later, Davis' ex-girlfriend testified that Davis claimed to be with Jones the night of the crime. She said she and Davis knew Jones prior to his death because Jones had tried to give Davis a job with his construction company. She said Jones seemed nice. Later the night of the crime, she said Davis took several showers and seemed nervous.
