Police say two men riding in a stolen car burglarized a home in Ouachita Parish, and tried to run from the cops, but didn’t make it.

These two men are the alleged partners in crime, Ronald Hunter and Walter White, who’s nicknamed “Country.”

This morning after five, as many as ten Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s cruisers surrounded the woods around Rogers Street and Renwick, on a manhunt for two burglary suspects.

Deputies spotted a white Buick, which was connected to the crime.

Officials say one of the suspected burglars, Walter “Country” white, jumped out of the passenger’s side window and headed for the woods.

“Country” couldn’t outrun deputies, and was later arrested.

Hunter is facing charges of illegal possession of stolen things and simple burglary. White faces charges of illegal possession of stolen things, resisting arrest and flight, and simple burglary.

Officials recovered the Buick, which was stolen out of Oak Grove, and a blower and weed-eater valued at about $700 from the car.
