A new study shows Louisiana’s test scores dropping off in high school and college. The study published by the Southern Regional Education Board calculated the numbers from 16 states in the southeast. In Louisiana, the study shows better than average test scores in elementary reading and mathematics, but it says those scores go down from middle school all the way to college. The report also shows that from 2004 to 2007 only 64 percent of ninth graders actually made it to graduation in the state. There is some good news..........Louisiana has improved ACT scores by a tenth of a point from 21 to 21.1 in the last decade and they say that's significant.
