Harris' contract is good until at least December 2012 and includes a $150 thousand base salary plus benefits. Harris also agreed to abide by performance objectives that include raising standardized test scored and lowering the drop out rates in the district. The board also voted to extend Interim Superintendent Julian Gray's contract until Harris arrives in town next month. Gray's contract was originally scheduled to end today.
