Just
hours ago-- police found the car they believe was used as a get-a-way car in
this morning's murder and robbery--- but have yet to find the men responsible.
Shortly after 9
o'clock Thursday morning-- police arrived here-- to the First National Bank of
Crossett.
Bank officials say
two men with assault rifles, stormed in, demanded money, beat a bank employee
and then took off in a Nissan Altima.
India Holt with FNB
said, "It's very friendly, it's own community in north Crossett, they know
everyone. Immediately when they saw these two, they knew something was going to
happen."
Hours later police
located the stolen car-- but the suspects were no where to be found.
Now police are
working four crime scenes-- including the home where 58 year old Donna Woodberry
was abducted.
Police believe the
two men shot and killed Woodberry about 3 miles from the bank then drove her
car to the branch where they got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
India Holt with First
National Bank says she believes the men knew what they were doing.
"They knew
they meant business, they were threatened, give them money, give them money,
repeatedly, one employee at the drive thru they came over and approached
her."
Police
say they two men are still on the loose and are consider armed and dangerous.
Police are looking
for any information you may have on the men responsible-- you can contact the Arkansas State Police or
the Ashley County Sheriffs Office.
The First National Bank
of Crossett is offering a reward, up to ten thousand dollars for any
information leading to the arrest and conviction of the men responsible.
