Ashley County investigators are working with both the Arkansas State Police and the FBI to find the two men responsible for Thursday's murder and robbery.

People living in the tight knit community of Crossett are worried and fear the duo could still be in the county.

Hailey Ward said, "I don't want to stay at home by myself, especially at night by myself. I live right down the road from where the woman was abducted at, I don't wanna go anywhere by myself."

Ward works just blocks from the First National Bank of Crossett-- North Branch.

The bank was robbed last Thursday-- police say two masked men ran in the bank, demanded money then took off in a stolen car.

Investigators found out moments later that the stolen car belonged to a Crossett woman, who police found shot to death near the bank branch.

"It's a small town, stuff like that doesn't happen around here, it's scary to go somewhere, especially without them been caught."

Last week investigators thought they had tracked down a possible lead in the case-- all the way to Lonoke County.

They interviewed three Lonoke Jail escapees but Monday police say the inmates had nothing to do with the Crossett murder and robbery.

Ashley County Sheriff David Johnson says they have developed additional leads and some people of interest but no arrests have been made.

And no arrests in the case have Crossett residents on edge---

Barbara Jones said, "My husband had a wrecker call, I have a real decorative door on my den, I went and put a towel over it, cause I was a little nervous with him out of town."

Ward said, "I think they live right here in our neighborhood, they might be coming in here buying fish plates, we never know."

Police are looking for any information you may have about last weeks attack, if you have any info please call either the Arkansas State Police at (870) 226-3713 or the Ashley County Sheriffs Office at (870) 853-2040.
