Rise-N-Shine Jr. Football Summer Camp A Big Hit for Kids

Football season is back, and one training camp at a West Monroe elementary school is a big hit with the kids!
An NFL-style training camp has kids working up a sweat and even doing a special victory dance.
About 20 young all-stars attended the Rise-N-Shine football training camp, at Riverbend Elementary.
Kids as young as five years old are learning life skills, character development, respect, teamwork, and much more from positive role models.
D.J. Davis, who organizes the camp, says every year it keeps growing.
“We come out here and work, but we try to implement it with fun stuff involved. We joke around and laugh, that’s why we do the funky chicken and back flips,” he said.
The camp runs for three Saturdays just in time for the school year to start.
