A train slams into a truck that got stuck on railroad tracks in Arcadia Wednesday morning.

Shoppers and workers stood in the shadow of a giant crash involving a train.

A wreck between a KCS train and a truck stopped traffic all afternoon in Bienville Parish on Highway 9.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the massive wreckage.

The impact of the crash destroyed part of the wooden deck of a historic museum in Arcadia.

Louisiana State Police say a lowboy truck was hauling an oversize load of a large compressor, when it suddenly lodged into the tracks.

The driver tried to call KCS, but it was too late. State police say the train struck the truck at a low speed, causing it to tip over on the passenger side, taking down a power line.

It took a heavy duty wrecker to tilt the truck back and move it away from the train.
