Two weeks from today (on August 18th @ 7:00 PM), ESPN 2 will televise pro boxing night at the Monroe Civic Center. The mayor says Monroe beat out Atlantic City and Las Vegas for the big fight. Professional boxers include Frank Paines and “Silk” Willie Lee just to name a few. Promoters say about a hundred countries including the U.S. will watch the boxing match on ESPN 2.
