Nekita Harris spent the day scoping out stores and making her game plan for a weekend full of tax less, shopping. Harris said, "it helps a lot, because a lot of us have low budgets and stuff, have a lot of kids, kids are expensive, we are expensive." Starting at 12:01 on Friday, shoppers are exempt from paying a four percent local sales tax on all retail purchases under twenty-five hundred dollars.  But it's not just customers who are cashing in, stores across the twin-cities are slashing prices, hoping to bring in lots of people, looking to spend lots of money.  Warren Bowen with Academy Sports & Outdoor said, "it will be crazy, wall to wall people in here, grabbing everything, trying to make sure kids are prepared for school." But not everyone is on board; Caity Brown says she'll probably just stay home.                 "I would probably spend more just because people think I’m not going to spend any on taxes so I get more than what I usually get so people will probably spend more." Bowen said, "we draw a lot of people from Arkansas, El Dorado, Crossett, everybody will come down here, give them opportunity to get items and also save money, in addition they will eat here, buy gas, big plus for our area."
