LifeShare Needs Blood Donations in Monroe

Did you know that just one blood donation can save three lives? That’s the word from LifeShare Blood Centers and they say their supply is low this summer. You can help change that by donating blood at the Pecanland mall until Saturday -- in what they call the Mash Bash. LifeShare officials say they are also low on "O negative" blood. That’s the type that can be given to all blood types. You have to be at least 17 years-old, at least 110 pounds and in good health to donate blood "Just think about if you or your family member needed blood sometimes you would definitely want it to be there so if you start donating regular it will be there,” said LifeShare Recruiter Sherry Frankowicz. During the Mash Bash you can register for great prizes including a Caribbean cruise for two. If you missed today's donation, you can still donate tomorrow night until seven and until six Saturday night. LifeShare will be parked outside the Food Court Entrance at Pecanland Mall.
