Free Classes at Masur Museum Teach Kids How to Paint

Kids are picking up paintbrushes and creating masterpieces.

About 20 young painters and their parents are learning the fine art of creating portraits, one brushstroke at the time, thanks to free art classes at the Masur Museum on Saturday afternoon.

The people who work at Masur Museum are bringing their love of art into the classroom.

Every month, the pros teach children how to paint, sculpt, and use their imagination.

“The class was really fun. You get to paint and design anything you want on here!” said Danielle Hunter, 9 years old.

“I painted a lot of other things at art class like that. And it’s nice. That’s where I got the idea!” said Erin Snyder.

Danielle added, “We drew a portrait of ourselves. You finish it, and design anything you want on here!”

Organizers encourage parents to bring their children to this free art event.
