The attorney general’s office is now in charge of prosecuting the case against an ex-Louisiana State Police trooper, who’s accused of sex crimes against young girls.

Former Trooper Jay Sandifer was supposed to make an appearance in a Concordia Parish courthouse today for a hearing.

State police say he’s been arrested three times for his alleged misconduct with young girls.

Sandifer was fired by state police back in July.

In July, two underage female victims from Concordia and Franklin Parish came forward, with sexual misconduct complaints against Sandifer.
