"Farmerville is such a small place and for something so tragic to happen, it hits home," said Farmerville resident Amy Herrig.
Farmerville resident Shelia Dismuke didn’t know Morgan but says, "It's a tragedy. It takes time getting used to not having that person around anymore."
Morgan, a sophomore linebacker for the team, was more than just a football player. He was an honor roll student and a young man who always remembered his manners. His family described him as quiet but someone who had lots of friends. While his family grieves, they've been anything but alone.
"We have a lot of support from the community. Everybody is really pouring their hearts out to us," his cousin Dakneequa Glover told NBC 10 News.
Morgan may no longer be with this loving community physically, but he'll never be forgotten.
"He's always with me though. Through everything I do, he's always going to be with me,"said his brother D’Adrian Martin.
