They introduced "Google Instant" Wednesday as the newest variation of what's already the world's most popular search engine.
It features the ability to start displaying search results before users even finish typing their queries.
Results are continually refreshed as new letters are entered into the field.
For example simply typing the letter "W" brings up weather because it's the most popular search starting with "W".
As letters are added the results adjust accordingly.
Google estimates it'll shave two to five seconds off of the average search.
Search is still Google's main business, even as it's branched out into areas such as their increasingly popular Android operating system for smart phones.
99 percent of the company's $23.6 billion in revenue last year came from search related advertising.
Traditional media is the company's next target.
They're introducing Google TV this fall in an attempt to marry the internet and television.
There's also speculation the company could soon enter the music download business with a service to rival Apple's iTunes.
Google anticipates its "Google Instant" will save its users a collective 350 million hours annually.
