Monroe police say they’ve got a “person of interest” in a shooting at a bail bonds business, located just minutes away from the police station.

Monroe Police rushed to the shooting scene, on the 600 block of Lea Joyner on Thursday night.

Employees told NBC 10 that the owner of South Side Bail Bonds had been shot, in what police describe as “serious” injuries. Officials say the victim is at St. Francis, although his condition is unknown.

Investigators and a canine searched for clues with flashlights outside the business. Police say they’re gathering statements from witnesses, and have developed a “person of interest” in the shooting.

If you have information about who shot the owner of South Side Bail Bonds, contact Monroe Police.
