Trial of Former Officer Continues

    In Winnfield, testimony continued Friday in the manslaughter trial of a former police officer.

    Scott Nugent is accused of tasing a hancuffed prisoner nine times. The man, Barron Pikes died.

    On Friday in court, a well known forensic pathologist testifiedthat the shocks from the taser  caused Pikes' death.  Dr. Michael Baden testified in the O.J. simpson trial and was the host of the HBO program "Autopsy."
   

    Baden told Jurors that Pikes did not have any medical conditions that would have killed him, and he did not find any other reason a healthy man would die so suddenly.

    The defense questioned Baden about his qualifications as an expert on electricity and on the taser.
