8-year-old Shelby Fulton was taken from us in the summer of 2007 but through an organization called Shelby's Wish, she isn't far from our hearts.
Today, Shelby's Wish hosted zumba lessons that were fun for all ages at the West Monroe Convention Center.
Residents moved their feet, put their hands in the air, and danced to the music while helping provide comforts for hospital patients in northeast Louisiana.
"Shelby saw the need for a playroom. They currently didn't have one and so we wanted to give back to hospitals in this area that helped us with her illness. We built a playroom at St. Francis, at Glenwood, and now we're currently working on one at Morehouse General," said President of Shelby’s Wish, Summer Fulton.
Shelby's Wish is hosting a 5k run at Forsythe Park in Monroe in June of 2011 and all the money raised will go to support local hospitals.
