Monroe Shooting Leaves One Teen Injured, Possibly More Victims

Monroe police urgently need your helping solving a shooting that left a 17-year-old  nursing a gunshot wound to the foot. Police say there is a possibility there could be more victims.

 

Monroe police rushed to a shooting call on the 1900 block of Samuel Drive, which is near Highway 165 South.

 

Just after midnight, police spotted a trail of fresh blood, but didn’t find any victims on the ground.

 

Monroe police say a group of about ten black men were arguing outside, when the fight escalated into gunfire. Witnesses report hearing several rounds fired outside.

 

A witness told police that one black man was seen running away after getting shot, and says another victim scattered in the other direction, possibly with gunshot wounds.

 

Police say that one shooting victim checked into E.A. Conway, with a wound to his ankle.

 

Monroe police are still looking for the shooter and other possible victims to come forward.
