Construction for Oliver Road Completed, Roads now Re-opened

Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo and the City Council celebrated the completion of the Oliver Road infrastructure project, Friday morning. They held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Oliver Road in Monroe.
Crews have finished widening the construction project of the road and an extra lane has been added from Tower Drive to Forsythe Avenue. Workers also improved drainage on Oliver to deal with flooding.
The 1.8 million dollar project was funded by federal stimulus money.
