Nationally Published Author Holds Book Signing in West Monroe

    Nationally Published Author Betty Wells made a stop in West Monroe on Saturday. She shared her new children's book.

    The title of her new book is "How the Goldfish Became Gold." It's about a tiny fish named Squirt, who becomes a big goldfish, after meeting Jesus on a field trip. Wells said the message in the book is about how a relationship with god can change your life.

    She talked about how she originally wrote her books for church. Wells said, "I realized that children just do not know bible stories anymore and I started writing the stories for my church and then I contacted a publishing company and they published it."

    Well's book is currently available at major book stores, on Amazon.com and at local libraries.
