Sweet Potatoes in Good Supply for Holiday Season

With thanksgiving right around the corner, its prime season for sweet potatoes. The good news is - stocking up won't be rough on your wallet. Experts say prices for the sweet potato will be slightly lower from last year and well below a dollar per pound for the holidays. Louisiana State University Agriculture officials say that's because this year's crop of sweet potato is a good one. Farmers across Louisiana are 90% done with their harvest. At this time last year, they were only 40 % done. The recent dry weather is the reason for the good season.
