President Clinton Endorses Sen. Mark Pryor for Re-Election

Pryor is seeking a third term as senator.
Mr. Clinton urged supporters and well-wishers to send Pryor back to Washington because of the work he's done for Arkansans. He told the crowd he admired Pryor's courage for sometimes breaking away from party lines to vote for what he feels is best for the people of Arkansas.
"In the last two years in 2011 and 2012, a national journal that studies everyone's voting record and ranks you from one to one hundred from liberal to conservative or conservative to liberal, they ranked Pryor forty-ninth and fiftieth, which means he was the most independent in the Senate," President Clinton said.
Not only did Governor Mike Beebe speak in favor of Pryor, but also the senator's dad, former Arkansas Governor and Senator David Pryor, rallied the crowd.
Arkansas Republicans said all the celebrity at the rally didn't mean a thing. They said Pryor is a vulnerable candidate in 2014, hence the need to kick off the campaign early. No Republican candidate has publicly announced their intentions of challenging Pryor, but the party's spokesman said whomever they support will be a conservative and reflective of Arkansans.
"The fact of the matter is when he's in Arkansas he talks about Arkansas, but when he's in Washington, he certainly votes time after time for the Obama agenda," David Ray said.
