OUACHITA PARISH -- The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a string of burglaries striking parts of South Monroe.

OPSO investigators say the burglaries are happening in the Preston Loop, Cotton Bayou, and South Park subdivisions, located near Richwood Road 1.

Investigators say TV's, game consoles, and other electronics are primarily being stolen.

Police say their investigation suggests that possibly four male juveniles are involved in the burglaries.

Major Jason Pleasant with OPSO suggests for people in the area to leave their lights on when not at home, lock all doors and windows, and have neighbors keep an eye out on each other. Pleasant says the burglars are forcing entry into the homes, but neighbors should be able to see and report the large items being stolen from the homes.

If you have any information on these burglaries, please call OPSO at 318-329-1200.
