El Dorado Man Arrested on Bank Robbery Charges

26-year-old Brandon Burris was arrested by El Dorado Police for allegedly holding up a Bancorp South Bank on East Main Street with a semiautomatic pistol.

Police say they arrested Burris shortly after responding to the bank's alarm.

This is the second time since November that the bank has been the target of a robbery and police say the suspects in that robbery are still on the loose.

Burris is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held at the Union County Jail on $50,000. 

He will have his first court appearance on Monday.
