MONROE -- The business community along with government leaders came together to talk about workforce development in the ArkLaMiss.
Hosted by the Louisiana Workforce Commission, the forum took place at the Monroe Civic Center Wednesday morning.
The LWC helps educate local employers on what tools are out there for people looking for jobs in our area.
Workforce leaders say they want to help close the gaps between job openings and the skills needed to fill those jobs.
"We have so many unemployed in the state and so many places to look for employment but this kinda brings things together."
